Who is Top End Tandems?

Ashley Smith (Ash)

Ashley had his first jump in 1988 and since then has accumulated over 5000 jumps. He has jumped in most states in Australia as well as in many other countries. He is the chief instructor and drop zone owner of Top End Tandems in Darwin. He is an active Tandem Master, AFF Instructor and Videographer. When he isn’t in the air jumping you will see him working on general aviation aircraft at Darwin Airport.

Lloyd Coefield (Coey)

Coey started jumping in 1990 and has to his credit over 8500 jumps. He has represented Australia on more than one occasion in formation skydiving. Coey as he likes to be called, is an active tandem master and professional skydiver. Coey is enthusiastic, energetic and the “funny man”. When he isn’t jumping in Darwin he works as a professional pilot at Darwin airport.

Andrew Innes (Drew)

Drew has 7500 jumps and is an Instructor in Tandem and AFF. Drew is a very competent and professional skydiver. Drew has jumped all over the world and is also a pilot who regularly flies the plane we jump from. When he’s not up in the air jumping he’s working for the local fire brigade.

Chris Ward (Wardy)

Our most reliable pilot since we started jumping at Top End Tandems. With over 2000 "jump" flying hours to his credit, Wardy has been flying since Wilbur Wright was boy! Wardy has done two jumps, one at Top End Tandems as a tandem passenger. Someone else landed the plane that day ;-)
